• 20 Best Podcasts For 20 Somethings You Should Be Following

As a millennial, what I read, watch and listen to has to be refined and have a core focus, either to educate, entertain, enlighten me or do all three at the same time. I believe our 20’s are the “sandpapering” years. You have to spend time preparing and polishing yourself for what lies ahead. Which is why I’m sharing the best podcasts for 20 somethings. This list of the best podcasts for 20 somethings/millennials spans across various sectors such as lifestyle, career, religion, self care etc.

    Best Podcasts For 20 Somethings

Podcasting was foreign to me until mid 2018. Of course I had heard about podcasts but I didn’t listen to one until sometime around June/July last year. And within that time frame, there’s been a big change in my personality. I have learnt the “art of listening”, learnt about pauses, reflections and a whole lot more.

    1.Our Daily Bread

Listening to this faith based podcast is the first thing on my morning routine. It is a devotional podcast with a time frame of 3-6 minutes. On each episode, a speaker takes on a faith based topic and teaches. Out of all the Christian devotional podcasts I have tried, Our Daily Bread remains my favourite. Very brief and yet power packed. A day without listening to this podcast is like a day without a good foundation for me. I love every single episode since I started following this podcast.

    2. Being Boss

This podcast is for creative entrepreneurs. It’s been running since 2015 and each episode teaches you something about career and self growth. An added plus is that the hosts make these seemingly difficult topics seem easy. My favourite podcast is “episode #189 which talks about Communication and collaboration”. It’s an amazing listen.

    3. Rants and Randomness with Luvvie Ajayi

Think a girl’s night out, think honest, ruthless conversations and you’ll get the perfect picture of how Luvvie’s podcast is. She is like your go to girl for all things honest and no bullshit spared. She rants, not in a crazy way but in an intellectual way. My favourite episode is “Do better; Social media etiquette”. Luvvie did justice on this one, I can’t explain how she literally hit every nail on the head, you’ve got to listen to it yourself.

    4. What Should I Read Next by Anne Novel

If you are a book lover like I am and derive pleasure from reading, this podcast is a must listen for you. The author Anne gives the best book recommendations that cut across different genre. I love this podcast so much and my favourite episode so far is Episode 130 : Must read book by women writers. If you don’t already know, I’m more keen on female than male writers and on this episode, a couple of women shared their favourite female authored book and opened my eyes to some pretty interesting books.

    5. Still Processing

When it comes to lifestyle and culture podcast, still processing is one of my best. I love the presenters, love the simple way they discuss and break down seemingly trivial issues and an added plus is the sweet soothing voice of the male presenter, I just might be nursing a crush for him. I love every episode.

And it led me to find another awesome podcast host.

    7. Let It Out By Katie Dalebout

I found Katie’s podcast from the lavendaire lifestyle and ever since then, I have been hooked. Let it out, just like its name implies is all about candid conversations. Katie regularly brings guests on the show to let their thoughts out on various topics surrounding lifestyle. My favourite episode is “#233: Balancing full-time jobs with creative projects”.

    10. Whoa That’s Good

Sadie Roberton, the host of this podcast has got such a contagious personality. She comes across as the girl next door, her podcasts & guests are always filled with good vibes. And they dish the best advice in a lighthearted way which makes it a favourite. My favourite episode is “Cory Asbury and the reckless love of God”.

Thank you for this post Gift. I’ll go and check these podcasts out. I started listening to podcasts back in 2017. They’ve really helped me. I love Lavendaire and the ambience her videos have but for some reason, I’ve never listened to her podcast.

This is nice. I also have a podcast of my own “Let’s Talk Over Wine” it’s on Google podcast and Apple podcast
