ABOUT OUR FOUNDER.
Gift Onyinyechi Collins-Amadi, popularly known simply as Gift Collins, A graduate of Theatre and Film Studies, University of Portharcourt. She loves to describe herself as a Hopeless Creative with an addiction for good living, aesthetics, Movies and still-life photos.
In 2017, She started this blog “Gift Collins” as a personal lifestyle diary where she shared her interests and how growing up in a Nigerian society can be. In her own words she says ” Gift Collins is a personal lifestyle diary where I share my never ending love for writing, beauty, food, fashion, books and my experiences as a 20 something year old girl in Nigeria on a journey to having and living the good life”.
Along the line, she started to feel “inadequate”, she felt she wasn’t doing enough, wasn’t impacting enough, wasn’t helping enough and slowly she began to abandon the blog. After taking a break, embarking on long walks and eating her favourite desert(ice cream cake) she realized she felt inadequate because she needed to do so much more with this space, she needed to give young ladies like her an arsenal of content they can resonate with. Contents that will motivate, spur and make them equipped to face life’s challenges square on without losing themselves to chaotic and unhealthy living. It was then, the Reformation began. The blog has evolved from being a personal lifestyle blog to being a multi faceted lifestyle blog touching on all aspects of millennial girl living in Nigeria/Africa without loosing that original touch of a young girl finding her way in this oh-too-full-of- bull -shit world and making the best of every step.
Gift Collins went a step further and found out the African web space lacked a girl guide to Good living kind of website and noting the need for one, she relaunched Gift Collins Blog and is working hard everyday to build a creative team and make young ladies like her never feel “inadequate” because YOU ARE ENOUGH!
