FIRST IMPRESSION OF LINDA IKEJI TV
So like most people, I have been anxiously waiting for Linda Ikeji TV launch. My little sister and I have kept tabs; checking Linda and her sister Laura’s Instagram page to know the launch date. And even though we were sorely disappointed with the TV not going live on the two proposed dates, when it eventually did, I couldn’t wait to download the app and check it out. Especially to see my first impression of linda ikeji’s tv.
Unfortunately I couldn’t do that immediately as my device had storage shortage and I was finding it difficult to download apps from Playstore. However that didn’t deter me, I went on the site and registered and immediately the choose your payment option popped up and since I couldn’t see how much each plan costs, I ran as fast as my internet could carry me away from the site before I would put in my card details and see N10,000 debit for one month. My heart will just do a double back-flip.
I eventually cleared up my device, downloaded the app and subscribed. After spending the last 4 hours going through the app, I decided to share my first impression of Linda Ikeji’s Tv with you all.
Download and Setup of Linda ikeji tv
I downloaded the app from Google Playstore, download was swift and even though the app developers didn’t specify the size of the app in the description box, I don’t think it’s size is large because of how quick the download was. I proceeded to install and log in. Like I already mentioned, I created an account on the website. So I just logged in my details and proceeded to pay. Surprisingly, the cost of each subscription plan was stated on the app unlike that of the website. I went with the one month subscription which cost 1000 Naira and after putting in my card details, I got two confirmation mails, one from Linda Ikeji TV and one from the payment platform. Then I got access to all the shows and movies on the app.
Subscription plans and rates
They have four different subscription plans.
1 month for 1000 Naira
3 months for 3000 Naira
6 months for 5500 Naira and
One year for 10,000 Naira.
I am on the fence regarding their subscription plans and costs. For someone who has active subscription on most Nigerian online TV/movie platforms, Linda Ikeji’s TV subscription fee is the highest I have seen so far. However with the little I have seen, I think they are giving us a run for our money.
Payment was fast, they accept Nigerian cards, I used a Gtb MasterCard for the transaction and it went without a hitch.
Interface
On the app, there are four icons. The homepage, the search bar, feedback bar and account bar. The homepage displays different categories such as trending, movies, TV shows etc.
The contents are displayed in a slide show format and to access all the contents under a specific category, you can click on the see more tab.
I am not impressed with the accounts page though, it shows your device type, email address and card details. I would have loved something more personalized like having your name on your account page.
Contents
This is the crux of this post, I am pretty amazed by the contents on Linda Ikeji’s TV. They are rich and indigenous. I can’t start giving all the details because I’ve only watched a few reality shows, king Tonto, Toyin Abraham’s true and bare, Ajegunle with love etc.
I hate that the shows/movies must be streamed and can’t be downloaded. Like hello, do you know how much data costs in Nigeria. This is definitely a negative, because I am so not going to feel comfortable live streaming shows. Streaming consumes a lot of data and your girl ain’t got such unlimited data luxury. And I know a lot of people don’t have that luxury as well, so this is definitely going to be an issue. I spent 900 Megabytes just live streaming episode one of King Tonto. Did I just hear you say what? now you get the point.
Unlike Irokotv where you can download and watch at anytime, LITV must be streamed live. However, you can leave the app and when you return, continue from where you stopped. But I think having a download option would serve way better.
I am super excited and already planning to spend my night watching all episodes of King Tonto and Oyinbo wives.
So far, King Tonto has been interesting and the picture quality is great.
If you would like me to do reviews on the shows and movies on Linda Ikeji’s TV, let me know in the comment section.
It feels good to see indigenous contents. I am a sucker for Nigerian movies/ shows and hence Litv is a welcome development.
Have you tried out Linda Ikeji Tv, what are your first impressions?
Have you seen some of the show posters on social media, which are you rooting for? I am all in for King Tonto and life lessons with Betty Irabor. What about you?
Dont forget to check out my list on top shows on linda ikeji tevelevision.
Great review gift, i was so excited until i got to the streaming part. Now! That’s one big wahala o. Like you mentioned the average Nigerian doesn’t enjoy the luxury of unlimited data, so personally this streaming thingy doesn’t sit well with me.
The shows and series are cool though, would be an interesting watch. I really enjoyed this reading this review, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the review of the shows on LITV too, keep it up girl!

Thank you so much Emete. I’m so sorry about the streaming part. If you are good at staying awake at night. You can try out these cheap night plans and watch. I will definitely be doing that review.
