Thank you so much for this. I recently launched my self hosted site and honestly, I am yet to find a theme that speaks my taste, lol. I know I have to get a premium one to get the beat features, but can’t afford that yet. so, thanks for this, hopefully, I’ll settle with one for the main time.
On a blog related topic, please tell us how to set up ads on the blog.I’ve read posts on that actually, but your posts are easy to read and understand.

      Well done !

Hey dearie. To set up ads, you need to join ad programs be it an affiliate program or AdSense. Work on building your blog, putting out quality articles. Make sure they are not plagiarized. Also create the following pages, contact page, about page, privacy policy pages and create categories for your post. Also submit your blog to Google webmaster (Google search console) and Google analytics. Please don’t forget to upload a sitemap as well.
Do the aforementioned, give it a while and then apply for AdSense. For Jumia or Konga affiliates, join them and place their banners on your blog. You can also Google up other affiliates, there are several. There’s CJ affiliate, Asos affiliate, shopstylecollective and a lot more. Also know that even with a ton of these ad programs of your traffic is low, you won’t make significant amount of it. So work on your traffic. I suggest you read my blog post on traffic Generation. Use the search bar on the home page to find it.

Wheeew I’ve almost written a blog post in the comment section. Lol.
Thank you for visiting and commenting Tinuke, all the best with your blog.

A good list here! I’ve even seen themes that I haven’t seen before, and of course, I will go and check them out through the ‘preview’ button in the customizing area. My problem is some themes look nice when you click on them, but when you try and preview them against your blog, things just look off and take a lot of tweaking to look normal. Lord knows I’ve tried so many themes before I arrived at the ones I’ve used both presently and in the past – picky lifestyle. Anyway, I’m off to check out blossom fashion, wp blog, corvette, crimson rose!
