The Sky is Wide Enough For Everyone

Big Brother Naija 2018 began with 20 contestants from different walks of life. Prior to the show, most of us have never seen these contestants, didn’t know anything about them as well. However during the course of the show we got to know most of them, got to love most of them for their uniqueness. Even housemates evicted at the beginning of the show garnered some loyal supporters. This just goes to show that the sky is wide enough for us all to exist, show our uniqueness and shine our light on the world.

You can climb to the top without dragging others down

Big Brother Naija is a Game show where the winner goes home with a whooping 46 million Naira (lol, I am sure we all know this). So many of the contestants came with different ideologies and winning strategies. But at the end of the day from the five contestants that made it to the final, we can at least say 4 of them made it to the finals without unhealthy rivalry/competition or dragging anyone else down. Of course, I said 4 out of the 5 finalists because we all know Cee C didn’t play fair and treated almost everyone like an enemy.

Determination and hard work yields positive results

Can we all give Miracle a clapping ovation. Even if he doesn’t win, this dude is leaving the house with millions. He didn’t only play smart in the house, Miracle’s determination to succeed is an important  life lesson from big brother naija we all need to learn from. He was head of house twice and is on record for the most wins from the Payporte Arena games. Less not forget all he went through to win the Pepsi challenge and which is why he is currently associated with the hash tags #wediehere

We all know that success can be achieved through hard work and determination and seeing Miracle win big from this has just made me up my game and I hope you will too.

Learn to work with others peacefully (Team work)

Who knows either of the duo of K Bruce or Khloe would have made it to the top five if they lasted longer than the 3 weeks they spent in the house. The year’s Edition was pretty interesting as Big brother paired the housemates and challenged them to coexist peacefully with their partners. Kbruce and Khloe broke this rule and we’re immediately sent out of the house. This is a major lesson to learn from the big brother house. A lot of us do not know how to coexist with people or work with others which is why we experience challenges in our work places, with roommates etc.

You have to learn to tolerate others and also learn that team work is important.

If he/she really loves you, he/she will fight for you.

Perhaps one of the most important lessons for us to learn from Big Brother Naija 2018. Gone are those days of staying in toxic relationship or being a side piece. In 2018, you should learn to either be in or out. Using the case study of Alex and Tobi and Nina and Miracle, we have seen one partner fight for the others love and trust while the other isn’t putting so much effort. Miracle loves Nina and they have been on from the beginning of the show and up till now Nina refuses to acknowledge him as her boyfriend. Alex on the other hand has to contend with Cee C over Tobi.

I believe if someone truly loves you, he/she will fight and put in as much work as you do. If you feel like your partner isn’t putting in effort, then you both need to sit down and talk about it deeply.

I know I said 5 important life lessons from big brother naija but here’s an extra lesson.

Weigh your choices before you act on them

Some of the housemates made terrible choices in the house that ended up getting them evicted or stereotyped. For example the duo of KSquare and Bam bam and Teddy A respectively. Also Cee C made several decisions in the house that ended up sending backlash from the audience her way. One was when she destroyed her outfit and when she insulted Tobi badly.

We all should learn to weigh our choices before acting on them. Think about the repercussions of that decision and always remember that karma can be a butch before you take certain actions.

So far, so good, big brother naija has kept most people entertained for 90 days and today it all comes to an end.

What lessons did you learn for big brother naija 2018 and who out of the five constentants left so you think will win and why?
