    traffic generation for new bloggers

Traffic generation for new bloggers can be so difficult!

It is tiring enough trying to figure how your dashboard works as a new or semi new blogger.

Getting it right when you start blogging doesn’t come easy and one sure fire way to make you depressed is your blog statistics.

Some new bloggers don’t garner up to 50 views in a day, for some other bloggers, 50 is their total statistics for a week.

I know this because as a fairly new blogger who has just four months of blogging experience, I faced a lot of challenges but fortunately for me I had the right people and resources.

Traffic generation for new bloggers is going to be a long but fully packed and exiting post, so brace up.

    1. GOOD CONTENT IS EVERYTHING: This is the reason why most blogs don’t get constant traffic. You don’t captivate your readers because your content is lacking.

Take for example, while surfing the web, I come across your blog, I scroll through and there’s nothing interesting enough to make me bookmark or store your blog URL in my head, I leave your blog and I am gone forever. That Is 1 unique visitor lost, just imagine how many more you would lose daily.

Tips on writing good blog content.

    A. Know your target audience and write appropriately for them. An easy way to do this is to go through your old posts and see what your readers love through the posts engagement.

    B. Research well about the topic, so you don’t sound vague when you write.

    C. Title should be well crafted: Make it catchy and interesting.

The first thing people see are your post titles, if it is an interesting one, the chances of them reading is higher.

    2. Optimize your blog for search engine.

Popularly known as SEO, search engine optimization simply means setting up your blog to rank higher in search engine result pages(serp).

this is a search result for ”get your fashion right” from google and my blog came up on the search result first page alongside bigger blogs like instyle.

Optimizing your blog as a new blogger is like sowing a seed that you would reap in 100 folds in the future.

When you ensure your blog is properly optimized for search engines, you begin to get views from search engines and considering google gets over 3.5 billion searches a day, then imagine how many views you would get if 20% percent of those searches are on a topic you have written about and your seo is great so you appear on the search results first page.

Quick tips on how to optimize your blog.

    A. Edit your permalink: As a new blogger, chances are your blog posts still show without your post title. The reason is because you haven’t set your permalink.

    B. Use H1-6 tags: Using these heading tags helps google to grasp what your post is all about. Google can’t bring out every detail in a blog post during search results But however with the helps if the H tags they can figure out what the post is about.

    C. Use your keywords But don’t spam: Keywords are very very important for Seo But some people misuse it by over using them thus resulting to spamming.

    D. Optimize your images: If you have images on your blog, you should endeavour to name your image title and alternate tags with your keyword.

                                           Facebook:

Create a page and link it with your blog, be active on it and invite your friends to like and also tell friends to invite their friends to also like.

    • Share your posts to Facebook groups: Some groups have hundred of thousands group members e.g sister hood of Africa facebook group. If you share your blog posts to 10 facebook groups with over 50,000 members, that is over 500,000 reach.

    1. Share in their success: Some bloggers are already established with massive blog traffic.

Ensure to leave meaningful comments and your blog links. I usually leave my blog links most times in the comment section of my favourite YouTube channels.
