• 30 Daily Positive Affirmations for Work

Positive affirmations for work can seem like an incredibly awkward idea especially if you have not tried them before.

This self-help guide is one of my favourite ways to work through the stress normally gotten from work.

In this post, I will explain what positive affirmations for work are, rules to follow when using them, and videos you should watch if you want them to bring positivity to your life. Also, at the end of this post, you will find a list of examples of affirmations you can use at work.

What are Positive Affirmations For Work?

As easy as positive affirmations are to practice, that is also how easy they are to define.

Simply put, they are positive statements that you repeat often to challenge your self-sabotaging thoughts.

Using positive affirmations makes you have control of your mind and it will aid in boosting your self-esteem.

Rules to Follow When Using Positive Affirmations for work

Even if you have a compilation of the best affirmations, you should be cautious when using them because most of them are not really affirmations.

There are a few rules that these statements must follow so it can work in your mind.

    1. Always Use Present Tense

Positive affirmations should only be written or recited in the present tense. That is the best way they can work and our minds will be able to process them because our brains don’t work in the future or in the past. For example, if you say, “I am resourceful” when you want to enter a board meeting, your brain will prepare you at that very moment to nail the meeting.

If the situation is a job interview, your affirmation will be ‘I have the job’. This will make you more self-confident and thus will increase your chances of getting the job.

    1. Ensure the Phrases are Positive

As cliché as it sounds, for positive affirmation to work, the sentences would have to be composed of positive words. This is because it is difficult for our minds to interpret negative words into positivity.

Therefore, if you want to affirm yourself at work by saying “I can’t fail my presentation”, why not say instead ‘I am smart’.

    1. Remove Uncertainties

Whenever you want to use positive affirmations for work, ensure that you speak in absolute phrases. Your mind cannot reason a “probably” or “perhaps” as a positive affirmation. This is one of the good ways you can make your affirmation more powerful.

    1. Repeat Your Affirmations

It is necessary that you repeat the affirmation as often as you can. There are a set number of times you should repeat a positive affirmation, however, I recommend that it should be repeated for about 5 minutes each time you want to recite it.
