• Gift’s Life Lately- May 2019 In Review

The month of May finally came to an end. It was so damn long, at a point, it felt like Jan-April wasn’t half as long as May.

Anyway, now it’s over, I’m very elated and thought to share Gift’s May 2019 in review with you all.

Its been so long since I did a life lately blog post. Last time was in October 2017, that’s almost two whooping years!!!

I plan to make my life lately blog posts more frequent, so let’s see how that goes.

    My Life Lately – May’19

May was so freaking stressful, I was stressed mentally, physically and spiritually. Eventually it all accumulated into a total burn out.

But despite all, I still picked a few things from May.

    What I Learnt:

That success doesn’t come cheap, money can, fame can but becoming successful is no child’s play. You’ve got to work for it, got to earn your place amongst the stars.

It was a lot to take in, such stark reality but I’m glad I learnt it the hard way and as usual, the only way is up- so yes, I’ll keep striving until I earn my place.

    What I Read:

I read a few books in May, they were mostly easy reads, books that required little or no mental energy because your girl was too mentally stressed to add to it.

Slyvia Day – Entwined with you– I stumbled upon this book by chance. A couple years back, I read the three other books in this “Cross” Series but couldn’t read the last book because it had not been published then.

When I came acrossed it while looking for some sizzling romance to read, I was beyond thrilled.

Slyvia Day- The stranger I married – A historical romance at its finest. I love historical fiction and this book delivered.

If you need red hot romance books of the likes of 50 shades of Grey, then check out Slyvia Day- A fantastic romance writer.

Who Killed Madam Rosaa – I will be publishing my review on this book soon, so be on the look out.

    What I Watched

Mostly Nollywood movies on Iroko TV.

    1. Trials of Mape – A worthy watch
    2. Ms Independent
    3. The Good husband

I also followed the GOT series but it wasn’t very exciting for me, As I already stumbled on a very detailed spoiler on Reddit.

I lost interest after I realized the spoiler accurately predicted Episode 3&4.

Youtube– All I remember watching was Dimma Umeh’s new house tour. That video was the ish!

    Where I went

Abuja!!! I spent the better half of April through to May in the capital city, I was on ground representing my office at the filming of the next big series that’s going to hit your TV screens soon- Living in Abuja.

It was a love and hate experience, while I learnt alot, gained experience, exposure and made acquaintances, it was all worth its measure in stress. I was freaking stressed out!

    What I listened to

Nothing much, music was dead to me. Using your phone while shoot is ongoing wasn’t allowed and so that limited the amount of time I spent on my phone. What little time I had left, I spent following up on the Pages I manage and getting some freelance jobs done.

However towards the end of the month, I found and fell in love with a track called ” God can bless anybody’

    Podcasts

Sadly I listened to none…. Not even Our daily bread podcast which serves as my daily devotional.

Yeah I know, been struggling with my spiritual life lately. Hopefully I find myself back.

    What I bought

A new phone, I got one of the new Samsung galaxy series and It feels so good to be completely liberated from poor photo quality.

Three new pairs of Denim because a girl gotta have as many denims as possible since that’s what I mostly wear.
