RUMOUR HAS IT SEASON 2 EPISODE 8

Okay, I take it back, all of it, every single word of it. I swallow my words back like a bitter pill. Now let me reintroduce myself, My name is Gift Collins and I am crushing on Mawuli Gazor aka Franklin in Rumour Has It Season 2. Yes I know I was coming up with different conspiracy theories in my review of rumour has it season 2, episode 6 but he just set the bar for husband material on another level in rumour has it season 2 episode 8. I am definitely thrilled!.

So, Ndani Tv as usual blessed us with another episode of Rumour has it. And this episode was all we have been waiting for!

First of all, I sincerely apologize for not reviewing episode 7. I watched it late and felt it was already too late to put up a review. But for the sake of those that messaged me, I will be doing a simple summary of what happened in episode 7 before I move on to reviewing episode 8.

Rumour has it season 2 Episode 7 Recap.

In episode 7, Dolapo is still facing the consequences of having her sex tape on the internet. Ranti is still fishing for more stories on Dolapo. Femi confronts Dolapo to tell her he still loves her, Dolapo is having none of that, she walks out on him. Franklin is still heart broken, we find out that the secret lady he has been discussing with is his close friend and Doctor who helped him with his infertility issues. Episode 7 wraps up with Ranti’s blog crashing. Did I hear you say hallelujah. Lol

Summary: Revenge is a bitter pill to swallow

Episode 7 ended with Ranti’s blog crashing and so episode 8 began with her trying to recover her blog. She contacts her lawyer because she thinks Obi hacked her blog until a call to Obi proves otherwise. Ranti sends out a video to her fans, telling them she’s a hardworking lady who doesn’t deserve this  and all. Soon after the video, Charles calls Ranti to inform her that Franklin is the one who hacked her blog. As expected, Ranti confronts Franklin and amidst her threats, Franklin refuses to bring the blog back.

On the other hand, Dolapo runs into Nengi who is Femi’s ex. Nengi informs Dolapo that Femi is a psychotic lover. She tells Dolapo all about Femi and her and how she had to flee the country because of him.

Franklin is encouraged by his friend/doctor to forgive Dolapo. Episode 8 comes to almost perfect end as Franklin returns home and gives Dolapo a second chance pending if a DNA proves whether the baby is his or Femi’s.

MY REVIEW: WHAT GIFT THINKS

This episode is titled reprisal which means a counterattack or we can simply say Retaliation/revenge. I definitely didn’t see it coming that the taking down of Ranti’s blog [bctt tweet=”There’s nothing better than sweet, sweet revenge and that is exactly what Franklin got. I knew sooner or later, Karma would catch up with Ranti. Ranti got served! #rumourhasit #ndanitv #nigerianmovie.” username=”gyifted”]was from Franklin. I felt Charles took it down, to get Ranti’s attention or Dolapo paid someone to do it because she has had enough of all the terrible comments and shame the sex tape brought. and also to prevent Ranti from revealing any more details about her or her love life.

Ranti got served!

There’s nothing better than sweet, sweet revenge and that is exactly what Franklin got. My heart was leaping for joy when it was revealed that Franklin did the hacking. Mehn, i was so happy to see Ranti rant up and down to no avail. She totally got served. Also, Ranti is definitely another delusional character. She was screaming my blog, my blog and telling the whole world how hard she worked to get her blog. Meanwhile we all know she cashed out on Obi’s account. Anyway, i am glad she got served. What happened to Ranti is a perfect exam of the player got played!

Who is Femi, uncensored.

I dont know about you, but i have been wondering when Ndani Tv would give us more background details on the character Femi. Well, they finally did and in the best way possible, from his ex. Considering the situation at hand, it was interesting to hear another women’s story of what she went through in the hands of Femi. If we ever had a doubt about Femi’s mental state, this definitely cleared it.

A man like Franklin….

okay, I have already declared my love for this character Franklin. I am swooned by his action at the end of episode 8 and I am certain most of you are too. It takes a man with a big heart to forgive a cheating wife. Either that or a man with a secret!. Yes, i know I said I swallow back my suspicions about Franklin’s character but right now, I am spitting a portion of it back out. The whole taking Dolapo back looks too good to be true and inasmuch as the hopeless romantic in me wants to believe the best about Franklin, I can’t help but think this is a bait by Ndani Tv to get us all to fall in love with the character before hitting us with scene that will make us scream ” I never expected it”.

Overall, I think they are doing a good job with the story line so far. I am falling deeper in love with the way the story is going everyday but a part of me still resents them for totally cutting out the whole Obi and friends story. However, since Obi is still in the picture one way or the other, here’s to hoping we will get an Obi comeback.
