Listening to podcasts is one of my favourite things to do, I am what you call a podcast addict. I’ve developed such a huge listening to podcasts culture and it’s one of the best habits I developed within the last year. Over time, I have listened to several addicting podcasts and even compiled a list of my top 20 podcasts for millennials.

Podcasting is rapidly becoming one of the fastest trends and with more podcasts apps for Android and the apple podcast app, the number of podcasts put out each day is staggering. My love for addicting podcasts started shortly after I began reading audiobooks. I found out they helped me concentrate better and also helped me relax after a stressful day. An added plus was that listening to podcasts is highly effective for battling in-transit boredom.

10 Addicting Podcasts You Should Totally Play Right Now

    Bad Girls Bible

Sex, relationships, dating, love and marriage advice. On Bad girls bible, the host surprisingly isn’t female. The podcast is hosted by Sean and every week, he brings different co-hosts and together, they discuss those issues most of us think of but don’t speak on.

This podcast is for those who are eager to learn more about sexual relationships and everything it encompasses from love to heartbreaks to freaky sex and more.

I enjoy Bad girls bible mainly because of Sean’s conversation with people with real-life relationship and sexual issues.

You will find it mindblowing what relationship issues couples are having and you will learn a lot about sex and dating.

    Ted Talk Daily

As a huge Ted talk fan, the Ted talk daily podcast is the best way for me to get all my “Ted Talk” needs while on the move. Millennials should totally follow up on Ted talks, they are highly inspirational and they promote positive growth.

This Ted Talk podcast is very addicting, as daily, you find talks from powerful people who have walked the walk and talked the talk. People who have had near death experiences, people who have failed and failed yet again, people who have risen despite all odds, etc. The wealth of knowledge and experiences this Ted Talk daily podcast gives is limitless.

    In The Dark

No list of addicting podcasts can be complete without this investigative crime thriller. The podcast takes us on the journey of Curtis Flower- An African-American placed on death row for robbery and murder in 1996. Although, Curtis has pleaded not guilty, has been tried 6 times already and evidence of racial bias and tampering of evidence was recorded, he still isn’t a free man. The podcast is hosted and reported by Madeleine Baran.

Given the tremendous publicity and support Netflix’s Original film adaptation of the Central Park Five has received, a lot more people are eager to know how Flower’s case will turn out and I am one of the lots.

Each episode of In The Dark is thrilling and the host makes it all better with the way she reports the case.

    Unladylike

Hands down my most recommended podcast for women who want to break away from gender roles. Unladylike just as its name connotes, is a podcast that discusses all thing that “women should be or should not be” according to societal standards.

They share what happens when women break these gender roles and unwritten rules on how women should be.

This podcast is so addicting and if you haven’t already guessed, it’s a feminist haven. So this makes it all the better. Conversations are rich, intelligent and deep. Topics vary from women sexual health/rights to women in governance/politics and so on. It’s an absolute fave!

She also discusses trending issues relating to the black community. Each episode feels like an on-the-couch session with a therapist.

Then I listened to Dr Joy’s podcast on revisiting 2019 goals and it helped me reevaluate my goals and I realized that I was so caught up on counting the goals I haven’t aced, I totally forgot to celebrate the ones, I had achieved.
